Postnatal Yoga for Mum & Baby

A supportive space to rebuild, recover and be held in early motherhood through safe and effective movement.

Move your body, regulate your nervous system and come exactly as you are with your baby by your side, we go with the flow on all accounts!

(+6 weeks postpartum to join class - mum / baby encouraged to come up to crawling stage).

Why Postnatal Yoga?

After birth your body needs time, care and understanding. It takes around a year for your body to recover fully from birth.

My group classes focus on:

recovery from diastasis recti (abdominal separation)

reconnecting with your pelvic floor

rebuilding strength safely and gradually

core strength recovery

releasing tension (especially shoulders, neck and back)

breathwork for regulation and recovery

connection and support

All guided in a way that feels safe and supportive.

This isn’t a typical yoga class.

This is a space where:

Babies are welcome

feeding is welcome

babies can be held, changed or soothed

you can pause whenever you need

Postnatal yoga has become a popular form of movement, focusing on rehabilitation of the core and pelvic floor muscles, as well as functional movements to help cope with the demands of motherhood. I programme yoga asana with freestyle movement to benefit tight shoulders, neck and back. A holistic approach taking into account what mum needs that particular day/moment.

The body has undergone a great deal of changes physically, hormonally, emotionally and mentally throughout conception, pregnancy, birth and postpartum. I offer a safe space to not only rehabilitate the physical body but also explore and release emotions through movement, breathwork & meditative practices to bring calmness and aid the transition into parenthood. This is time for you.

Whilst in session, baby can be nearby or mum alone, up to you. My approach is flexible, anything goes - if you need to feed or change nappies - totally fine.

I am trauma informed. I often work with those pre and postnatally who are in recovery with eating disorders, addiction, grief & mental health diagnosis.
